How do I connect (or disconnect) my store?

If you have multiple stores or signed up for Boardroom through our website, then you can follow these steps to sync a new store.


Note: if you signed up through Shopify App Store, and you only have 1 store, your (first) store will sync automatically, and you do not need to follow these steps.


On the Home page, click Actions > Sync a Store and follow the prompts to connect your store to your Boardroom. 

Click Shopify or Amazon, then follow the prompts.

Shopify Only: Copy and paste your MyShopify URL (or Shopify Admin URL) into the first field. Add a Brand Name in the second field, which will be used for filtering and tagging your data in your Boardroom:

After you click Next, you’ll be directed into Shopify where you can install the Boardroom app. 


That’s it! We’ll start syncing your data immediately.

How to Disconnect a Storefront

To disconnect a Shopify store, simply uninstall the app from your Shopify dashboard. 


Alternatively, inside Boardroom, go to Settings > My Data Sources, click the 3-dot menu next to the store you’d like to disconnect, and click Remove Store.

Issues Syncing Your Shopify Store?

If you encounter issues when syncing your Shopify store, it is most often because you've already installed the Boardroom app in Shopify and there was an error.


Please follow these steps, which resolve the issue in 90% of cases:


  1. IMPORTANT: Log into Shopify and uninstall Boardroom. To do this, go to Shopify Settings > Apps and Sales Channels to see if "Boardroom" is installed. Click the "uninstall" button. This is a crucial first step!

  2. Log into Boardroom at this link using your email and password that you created when you signed up.

  3. From the Boardroom app Home page, click "Actions" then "Sync a Store". Or, go directly to this link.

  4. Follow the prompts there to install the app from within your Boardroom account, or see the guide above.
